About the ANZ BCTG
The Australian New Zealand Breast Cancer Trials Group was established in 1978 at the University of Melbourne and relocated to Newcastle in 1987 when its Director of Research, Professor John Forbes, was appointed Professor of Surgical Oncology at the University of Newcastle.
The ANZ BCTG has two offices; one is located in the NBN Telethon Mater Institute, Calvary Mater Newcastle Hospital campus, and the other is located in Darby Street, Newcastle.

Organisational Structure
The ANZ BCTG is a collaborative, national and international, breast cancer, clinical trials, and research group. The organisational structure of the ANZ BCTG reflects its corporate governance and operational areas of responsibility.

Activities
The ANZ BCTG clinical trials program involves 54 studies: 38 studies have completed accrual with follow-up continuing, 30 of these studies have data analysed and research papers published; 11 studies are currently open to accrual; 3 studies are endorsed by the ANZ BCTG SAC and approved to begin; and 2 studies are in the planning stage.
